Hello. Here are some random thoughts from my overly-busy mind. Enjoy!
Thought # 1:
I've been homeschooled my whole life. Every time I think of it, I thank God that I had such loving parents that they actually took the time to spend their day teaching me, when they could have easily dumped me into the hands of Public School, and they could have been done with me. My education would not be their problem anymore. I make sure to hug my mom extra hard every day and thank her for schooling me, the stubborn, impatient child of hers.
Thought # 2:
Someday I want to homeschool my own kids. (This will most likely be far far away in the future, but I'm getting excited already!) Sometimes I have doubts, will I be good enough, will I instruct my children properly; all these ‘what ifs' and ‘well yah, buts' go through my mind. But then I look at the best teacher in the world (in my eyes), and I'm reassured. I'm not the greatest at some subjects (Math , Latin, all those kinds of things), but my mom praises me for the work I do well, and I know for sure that I can someday teach my own kids all I have learned in my favourite subjects.
Thought # 2 (continued):
I also love being homeschooled because it gives me the freedom to learn about God. I'm a Christian, and proud of it. I love it that we can stop and pray in the middle of learning if Mom gets a call that one of her friends was in a car accident, or Mr Brown across the street had a heart attack. Three cheers for Freedom of Worship!!!!!
Thought # 3:
I love the freedom that Homeschooling gives me. If I were in Public school, I would not be able to read about my favourite subjects for as long as my eyes hold out, or be given the time to pursue my own interests (writing, reading, drawing, anything artistic in the slightest way...). Although, I have to learn to discipline myself, and make myself do my Math (uggg), and conjugate my Latin verbs (ditto uggg). I love to be able to delve into the Bible whenever I wish, without fear of persecution.
Thought # 4:
I have six younger siblings, and sometimes I teach them if mom is busy with one of her many children (12 in all, 9 at home). I find that it's a good learning experience to teach my 5 year old sister her spelling, or to help my 9 year old brother with his math facts (UGGG).
Thought # 4 (continued):
I'm thankful for all my siblings, as well. It will teach me to be a better mother and teacher someday (faaaaaaar in the future.)
Thought # 5:
I love to write, and to draw. Someday I hope to live up to my favourite author, JRR Tolkien. I love to be able to write for hours on end without being criticized. Perhaps someday my work will be published.. if not, I'll enjoy writing stories for my family, for Christmas presents and things.
Thought # 6:
I'm hungry.
Thought # 7:
Not all of my thoughts are productive. Oh well.
Thought # 8:
I love science and biology. I love to live where I live, where we have forests all around, and hundreds of creatures to observe and study. Hurray for deer!
Thought # 9:
I have to eat. I'm so hungry. HEY! I have one last thought!!
Thought # 10:
Another thing I love about homeschooling is that at any time, you can stop and go get a drink and a snack if you're starving.

Well, I hope that my thoughts did not frighten some of you away.
Toodles!
