What poetry is to me, a subtle yet enriched piece of art in which I can not refuse to write. A rhythmic beat to which everyone can relate. Everyone picks out diffrent meanings, and values, diffrent themes and diffrent morals. I love poetry because it is so diverse. It is one of the only ways I can express my thoughts and emotions. Poetry is a calming, creative piece. Writing it is like bread to butter. My thoughts spill from pencil to paper. It flows and carries you off to imaginative places, tells of a couageous story, and often is an expressive way of reaching out and trying to tell others how I feel. Poetry means many things to me. I truly enjoy writing it. Many people have told me it is a gift, a blessing from God. I am thankful God chose me to give that gift, I love to write poetry.
One person I love to read from is Louisa May Alcott. She lived from 1832-1888. She is an inspiration to me. Her pieces are beautiful and I encourage anyone and evryone to check her out. Her words are very well put. Each time I read one of her poems I have mixed feelings. I feel sucked into her writing. It is beautiful. At the same time I feel encouraged. She gives me ideas and her work shows diffrent syles to write somthing. Her work really pushes me to do my best and try diffrent ways to write my poems and pieces. I wanted to say thank you to her and my mom. Without my mom I'm not sure I would be the poet that I am now. Again I encourage you all to check out Louisa's work. I know I have much enjoyed it.
