I'm just really awful at writing them. All "proper" forms of poetry, really.
Your other haiku was good, too, but this one stood out to me a bit more with the meaning.
Maybe it's because I'm so used to the cracked dirt, looking like parched lips waiting for rain.
... and like the people out there who are waiting for rain, for their lives to be overwhelmed and consumed with "grace like rain," to put it in Todd Agnew's words.
