I’m an elf with pointy ears Santa’s not my boss I live with fairies in the wood Not in the Pole with Claus I don’t make toys for greedy kids Instead, I’ll craft a shoe I don't just wear red and green My favorite color's blue You may have been misinformed About those of my kind People get some strange ideas Put into their minds Christmas is the time of year When we get the most attention But it's for those silly falasies I haven't failed to mention So next time that you hear about "Santa's little helpers" You can help to put an end To all those crazy rumors Maybe one day your race and mine Will peacefully co-exist And people everywhere will realize that Unlike Santa, Elves exist

I must say
Santa is not an elven slave driver
Formerly Kestrel
I like this--it's cute.
I like this--it's cute. Rather too optimistic, though, perhaps, because real elves couldn't possibly coexist with humans--they're much too fond of tormenting them.
:)
My dear, this is a wonderful poem! Your rythym is catchy, and I love the last lines especially. My house brownie scoffed at the idea of elves living peacefully alongside humans--he says that humans are too clumsy and elves lose their patience too quickly with humans' "bumbling, bungling ways". Then he tried to stalk away and knocked over a plate of Christmas cookies.
Anyway, loved the poem--write more soon!
LOL!
Hahahahahahaha!
That was perfict!
I love the ending
"Unlike Santa, Elves exist"
L.....O.....L !!!
And :
"I don’t make toys for greedy kids
Instead, I’ll craft a shoe
I don't just wear red and green
My favorite color's blue"
You did really good PaperPoet! This was worded wonderfully! And I love the idea!

I smiled at the end...these are my favorite lines:
Maybe one day your race and mine
Will peacefully co-exist
And people everywhere will realize that
Unlike Santa, Elves exist
I love your poetry
