It's odd to walk under a
Stitchless blue sky
The pavement so steady
The pathway tree-lined
Two years into the fact
A thin trail of
Dichotomy
The only
Souvenir
Left
I pinched my fingers on a dress
Imagining a time
When we pledged to be
A
Princess
Distressed
Drawn outside the lines
And look at captures
Of myself
It doesn't feel like time
Could have lent me
Any more
To refresh
What sense was mine
It's like a different person,
Really
It's odd and strange and wrong
I cringe at what
I knew to be
My chemistry
Cells and bones and
Shrieks and phones and
Hair cut above the ears
Unique and weird but
Just one tier
That
Today
I know what tastes like
The loss is hard to
Paint in words
I remember how that felt
Like your skin was pulled
While you reared back
Trying to find
Help
It was an ocean
Ocean swell
Engulfing you quickly
And as you sank
Into the deep
You looked for that
Somebody
It came on
At times so strong
A baleful potpourri
But as the clock
Ticked on; and months
Subsided
So did we
Now I stand
More in my feet
Than I think I've ever been
So that when I am doused
In memories
I find I'm glad
They're that
Poem poem poemy poem poem, you know?

That reminded me of SO many things. Beautiful and sentimental poetry.

I loved the sentiment and imagery behind this! "A stitchless blue sky" what a pristine image.
