Macey's Magic Book: Prologue

On the outer skirts of the Timberway forest there stood a small worn down hut. It was poorly built and made out of what looked like scraps you could find on the street of the Kingdom. It seemed as though one small gust of wind could turn the hut into one small pile of dust and ashes. As I am sure you know my dear reader, looks can be awfully deceiving. The hut belonged to a powerful wizard and was protected by a magical spell. The wizard, not wanting to be bothered by people searching for him to make them invincible or something of the sort, which is preposterous, had hidden himself away. He only made public apperances when King Mocor IV called for him to cast a protective spell or make adjustments to the weather patterns.
His name was well known, for he was the great Merlin's student, Parador. He had been the Head-Wizard since Merlin passed away.
Everyday being closer and closer to the end of his life, he set out to search for a young child to train in the arts of magic in order to become the Kingdom's Wizard after he dies.
So if you sit back and make your self comfortable I will tell you the long, dangerous, yet exciting tale of the aspiring girl Wizard, Macey.
