Waging

Fall over yourself
With comparisons to summer days and
The sweetest chocolate
Drape him in admiration
His perfect eyes and
That gorgeous smile
Downplay the fact that your knees are jello
And your heart is rayon
You must play it cool
You must never refuse
Anything too much or too fast
Or brazen
Why? If only because he is everything
That others expect him to be
For you
That you have to go along with
But at the end of the day
Will graciousness win out
Or will good conscience?
