chapter 6

Amy glared at the elf in front of her now.

He had been trying to make lunch in a ...'Right way' by his words.

She had been making craft macooroni'in cheese lunch, and had finished. When Amicus had looked over her shoulder and had exclaimed.

"Is that cheese!"

She had angrily said 'yes' but as soon as it came out, she really had wondered if it was actual cheese.

"Is it procesed?" he had asked next, with a curl of his lip.

She had hesitated, but in a given up manner she sighed that it was.

Now Amicus stood proudly, with a weird looking mass of green vegatibles in a large pan.

Amyleanedover and smelled the unapetizing blob. She instently recoiled at the puegent aroma. It smelled like something and burrowed into it andlivedin it for a long time.

Amicus frowned, "What!"

"Nothing!" Amy said, forcing herself not to gag.

He ploped the stuff unto two plates taking one for himself and pushing the other towards Amy.

Amy took the plate gingerly, with a grimace of disgust on her face. Sitting down she fingered it lightly with her fork.

"Go on!"Amicus said, taking a large amount on his own fork and shoving it into his mouth. Amicus's eyes widdened with surprise. He had been a little bit concerned when he saw how ugly he's meal looked. But it actually was good. He finally, in his whole entere life, was grateful that his father had forced him to take a lesson in cooking.

Amy saw his eyes open in surprise, and was afraid that it was of disgust.

"Try it!" Amicus said excitedly.

Amysawhis excitement, and didn't want to upset Amicus. She closed her eyes and ploped some of the green stuff into her mouth. She chewed, andrealizedthat she wasn't gaging or spitting it out. It was actually yummy. It tasted a little bit like an omlet with spinach, and a fewspices, like cumin and peprica. "ITS AMAZING!" she exclaimed, and tookanother mouthfull.

Amicus glowed with pride.

"This is great!" Amy said, twirling a little in her fun red dress.

She was at the block party, without Amicus! She had left him at her apartment.Telling him to look into the TV. and stare at it till she returned.

He had objected at first.

But as the TV continued playing, he sideled to it. Before long he had been staring at it transfixedly.

Amy had feeled pleased, and satisfide, at finding a babysitter for her problem.

"I know!" said the man who had invited her.

"Would you like to dance?" asked a man with blond hair.

Amy blushed slightly, but didn't see why she wouldn't dance at a party, she shrugged, "Sure!"

The man lead her to the middle of the road, where all the people were boogying and dancing energetically to the jazz, rock, hiphop sounding music.

They started dancing separterly. Till the music suddenly turned to a mellow jazz.

They went in together - like everyone else did- and started dancing slowely.

"So..." Amy started a conversation, in a loud whisper, "What's your name?"

"Malcom, yours?" Malcom said with a smile.

Amy felt like melting at the smile, "Amy" she mumbled out.

"Amy... Neat! Hi Amy!"

She giggled, "Hi Malcom. Do you go to my school?" she asked frowning, it seemed like she knew him a little.

"Yeah, I believe so! You live in those apartment complexs over ronder," he jerked his head to the east, where her apartment was.

She nodded, "Yep!"

He gave her a sly look, "Maybe..." he paused for good effect, "I could visit some time."

"You sertainly will not!" said a fimiliar voice, behind Amy.

Amy spun around, "Amicus!" she exclaimed furiously. But Amicus was not there. Had I imagined it? she pondered to herself.

Malcom gave her a questioning look, "Ami-who?"

Amy bit her lip lightly, "No one! Just... uh..."

"Just the king of the worlds!" said the Amicus voice taughtingly.

Amy swivled her head around in all directions, searching hopelessly around her. But the Annoying Elf was no where to be seen.

Malcom was now looking concerned, "Are you okay?"

"Yeah! I umm..." she opened and closed her mouth many times, "I think that would be a wonderful id-"

"Miss Amy Lockwood! What on earths are you doing!" Amicus's voice came again.

Now Amy had no doubt that her mind was doing this to her. Has Amicus become my consionence! Amy thought in despair.

"You know!"Amy said suddenly, "I need to go!" she was now worried about Amicus, and wanted to get to him as fast as she could, before he did something rash.

"And... WHO... ARE... YOU?" said the voice again.

Amy ignored it saying in her mind, I'm coming Amicus! Just be patient!

Malcom had turned around, and his eyes were met by a strange man standing with his hands on his hips and glaring at him.

Amy turned around and gaped with a gasp of surprise.

"And you!" Amicus turned on her, with a pointing finger, "I thought I told you I didn't want you to go to this... Warlock party!"

Amy couldn't move or talk she was so stunned.

Malcom turned to her, "Who is this guy?" he asked in a whisper behind his hand.

Amicus put his firm hand on Malcom's shoulder, "I'm." he said in a cold and dangerous voice, "Your." His eyes were turning a shocking scarry blue,"Worst." His grip tighented, and with a wicked grin said the final word, "NIGHT-MARE!"

Amy gave a scream of shock and terror. As Amicus picked up Malcom like he was no heavier then a fork, andtossedhim into the nearby punch bowl.

The punch shot up in theair likea gisser, Malcom on the top. The red punch hung in the air, then as itformed a bubble of red liquid, popped like a baloon. Malcomfell fromthe sky hitting the grouned with a soft thump. Then he wasflung up, assomeones sprinkler system burst, and shot Malcom fifty feetinto theair, like a firework.

Now everyone from the block party was staring up at the falling Malcom. Most of them screaming in horror.

Butfivefeet off the ground, Malcom stopped, as Amicus used the moister intheair to hold the blond haired man in place. Then Malcom startedtofreeze, and was a big block of ice.

"Amicus! Stop!" Amy begged, tugging on his arm.

But Amicus seemed to be enjoying it, with a devilish grin on his face. "I'm only getting statrted!" he said smoothly.

Malcomtheice cube fell the last five feet, clunking on the gravel. Theicesuddenly cracked as a gust of wind blew it upright then made itcrashback down.

Malcom gave long racking coughs, trying to get to his feet, shivering.

A stronge wind blew him back down. But it seemed to be a hot wind.

Atleast he's not heartless! Amy thought. She now understood the wind, remember Amicus saying that he was '-Keeper of the Winds-'.

A big animal came lumbering out of no where.

And everyone screamed and ran away.

As they all realized it was a big brown bear. Roaring loadly and growling at everyone.

Malcom's lower lip was quivering, and tears fell down his cheeks. As the Bear came closer and closer to him.

The bear, with a mouthful of Malcoms shirt, tossed him into the air.

AmicuscaughtMalcom with the moister in the air again. And ran Malcom into anearbytree, with a gleefull yell of "TAKE THAT MY MURDERES BROTHER!"referringto his brother being the keeper of trees.

Malcom twirled around in the air for a long time.

Then the Bear floated up to him.

"Would you like to dance!" Amicus mimicked a high voice, and laughed wickedly.

Malcom was now sobbing out right.

"AMICUS STOP!!!" Amy yelled at him, stomping her foot.

"Fine!" Amicus said with a shrug.

With that, Malcom vanished, completely!
