Joyful Morning

 Here's a little poem I wrote that I hope ya'll enjoy! Also, for those of you who didn't know, I wrote a second part to Amira.

JOYFUL MORNING

How long the night has been, Mother,

When will it be day?

Sorrow fills my mind;

Is the darkness here to stay?

Nay, my child, the night must end,

The sun shall rise once more;

There shall be a joyful morning

Of this I am sure.

Mother, the moon is clouded,

The stars I cannot see;

How can you trust the sunrise

When the shadows do not flee?

My child, the sun has come

Ev'ry morning, ev'ry day;

Though now the night seems long and drear,

It is not here to stay.

Mother, mother, I can see it:

The sun leaps into the sky;

The shadows are fleeting,

They scatter and die!

You see, my child, I told you

The dawn would come at last;

A joyful morning will always rise,

When the sorrowful night is past.

It sounded a little like something a hobbit mother might sing to her child. Very delightful. It made me smile.

Brother: Your character should drive a motorcycle.
Me: He can't. He's in the wilderness.
Brother: Then make it a four-wheel-drive motorcycle!

I love this Laura!
