Peaches, pt. 3

*A/N this is from our nameless friend’s POV*                He knew that it had to be her. He had never loved one. Not since Rebeca. She was so like her- never dull, never boring-the only thing different was that Rebeca was a Goddess, his ruler. This one was, real, a human, so plain that it made her beautiful, even more beautiful than Rebeca ever was. He wished she hadn’t left. He wished he had kept her there, so she would never forget, but he understood that he never, ever could have done that to her. But he missed her. He took the peach that had lead her to the waterfall once before from his coat pocket and broke it open. Out of it drifted a stunning orange beam of light and energy. He stroked it. It knew what to do, and so it streamed its way into the village, first crossing a huge open field. He could scarcely see the buildings through the tall trees of the wood, but something inside of his gut reassured him that his beam had numbed the outside world.             Slowly, he strode behind a tree right nearby the waterfall. He leaned his head up against it and hoped that he was doing the right thing. He felt guilt, a rising black beast, eating at his heart. I love her, he thought. There was no reason to feel guilty.             He drifted to sleep, guilt, the rabid animal, ripping at his flesh the entire time. Soon, his beam of energy awoke him. He heard her shriek, an alarming sound, with horror when she realized that it was gone. Hesitantly, he peeked his head around the tree to see her, tears dripping off her nose, sipping from the waterfall. He noticed that her nose was red and drippy.             “I see you have arrived,” he said, stepping out from the behind the tree. His heart raced when she looked at him searchingly. Her lips always pursed whenever she was thinking. Then, she spoke.             “Who are you?” she asked him in a tremulous voice. He felt so many emotions bubbling at his surface. He hated her for not remembering him, but then saw her confusion and softened. He wanted her to let him comfort her like she did before, but he knew that she would never let him come near her.             He didn’t know what he said the rest of the time. All he knew was that she was afraid of him, afraid like a puppy that has been beaten.              He gave her the peach. He hoped that she would figure out what its real purpose was, but he had his doubts. He had shown her once before, when she had loved him, but he knew that she would never know now.             “Goodbye,” he said, making himself stride away with his back turned, forcing himself not to look back. He hated being banished; he only wanted to go back to The Sacred Place and never look back upon this cursed world. He wanted to be comforted by the Gods and Goddesses that gazed upon him with love, not confusion and fear.             But they hated him now. Just like all of the other humans he had come to know and that had lost him.             The world was an empty glass, never to be filled.

Glad you like it ;)

Uhm, yes, it is....um.....completely planned! Just kidding-it is totally improvised. I came up with the gods/goddesses thing because I accidentally typed something similar! Hopefully your image of the goblin kind will fade as time passes ;D

This is was really confusing?

What was he talking about, Rebeca's a Goddess?

I'm  not sure I understood this chapter very much.... but I like your writing! Very good!

Sorry, I thought I made it clearer! For editing purposes, what exactly was confusing? Thanks ;)

The twist and turns... Why was she bleeding? What is that guy talking about, he had come to that world, met Rebeca then left? Then came back and now she forgot him? I'm sure most of these questions are going to be anwered latter... and my questions were also confusing weren't they?

I liked it though!

Please post more soon!

Thanks for the explanation! Marie was never bleeding, I only meant that her nose was a little red from crying and needing to wipe at it. The rest of the questions should be answered later.

Sorry for the slight misunderstanding!
