My Irish love

 My love, me lad

My Irish lad, wild green eyes and flame o' hair

Lives among the green rollin' hills so fair

Irish is his heritage

and proudly doth he bear it

The highlands are his bonny home

and so largely does he love it

The way he says his lovely words

in beautiful irish accent

so much he loves his irish hoards

of leuprucon dimes and cent

his carefree ways

his lively days

are part of what indears him

the way he asks

if with him I'll dance

makes me kick up my heels and sing

"My Irish love, so bonny and fair,

He loves me and that's all that I care.

He'll swing me round

and say that sweet, lovely sound

I love you."

So he is mine, my highland love

forever we'll dance with the fey folk
