Today I was looking through my diary, getting all sentimental and nostalgic. I found some old poems that I wrote and thought, "Why not put 'em up on AP....just for kicks". And here they are.

This one I wrote when I was six or seven; my first poem ever!

Spring, spring!
It's almost here!
Beautiful flowers are coming near
A rose here, a tulip there
Green grass everywhere!
Spring's coming!

This one, oh....I'd say I was about 9 when I did this one.

One, two, three, four
That was fun, let's count some more
Five, six, seven, eight
I'm the captain and you're my first mate
Nine, ten, eleven, twelve
Now put that counting book back on the shelf.

For this one, I was probably....ten? Eleven? I never did put dates on these things.

Little girls and little boys
Love to play with brand-new toys
Grown-up moms and grown-up dads
Comfort the kids when the kids are sad
But both kids and parents definitely know
It's great to play in Christmas snow!

This last one is probably my favorite. I got the idea when one day I was wearing two hats at a time (don't ask why). I was twelve.

I am the Hatseller
I sell hats
I sell them to the people
And I sell them to their cats
I sell them to the leaves
And I sell them to the dew
I sell my hats to everyone
May I sell one to you?

I love the last one!  It's hilarious, although they're all funny.

Awww! So cute! I like the last one too.
