Chapter One
Show Filly

"I am beautiful. I am magnificent. I am the most amazing horse in the world."

"Wow. Flashy, she is," a plump man in the stands says. He is dressed in a business suit with a jacket too small.

The creature he is addressing is a palomino mare, appears to be about two years old. Beautiful, she is. Pure white man with a dappled golden body; a long white blaze and three white socks. Yes, she is attractive. She is in a leather halter being held by a groom.

"Yeah, she's amazing. As a yearling, she won longe line and halter. Finest lines, brilliant in halter classes. She got first in the two year old Quarter Horse Hunter futurity. She's unbelievable at everything she does," another man says. He is also in the stands, talking to the plump man.

The plump one grunts and calls to the groom, "Lemme see her trot!"

The groom nods and has the filly go through her paces. "Nice mover," the plump one mutters, drawing out a notepad from his suit pocket and taking notes.

"Yessir, she's the best."

"What's her name again?" the plump one asks.

"MDK's Gold Dancer."

The plump one grunts again as he takes notes. He slips the notepad back in his pocket and says, "Alright, Mr. Bloomberg. How 'bout 2,000 dollars?"

"Nah, she's worth more than that!" the other man exclaims, throwing his hand to the now standing filly.

"2,500."

"3,500."

"Fine, 3,000."

"No, 3,500!"

"Alright, alright. 3,500," the plump one says, pulling out a checkbook and writing out a check. He hands it over to him and runs his hand over his bushy mustache.

The other man gives a satisfied nod and says, "She's all yours, Mr. Hepplington," and walks away.

I like the style of writing here. But promise me thatin this horse story the horse doesn't die or run in a race and win as an amateur racer. I'd like a new story line (ha ha).

“For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.” Audrey Hepburn

Don't worry, no horse racing (or really anything with an audience) and I don't kill off my horses =D lol
