Memories are our own personal movies that replay in our hearts when we feel lonely or sad. When someone is sad, they think of a happy time in their lives that will make them feel better. When someone is lonely, they think of times when they were with family and friends. The people who have never had a happy memory are always very depressed and upset because they have no memories to hold onto and remember when they're sad. Some people who do have happy memories but are still depressed have a hard time remembering them because they weren't significant enough, or they just don't think remembering the happy times in their lives would help. If it weren't for memories, the world would be a really sad and depressing place. I thank God for the happy memories he gave me and all of the people and places that help me make more happy memories.
People also have bad memories, which come back to them sometimes and make them feel sad or angry. Memories are sometimes the only way you can see someone who is dear to you. If some of your family live far away, you can always remember a time when they were near you. If someone has passed on, you can remember the times when they were still alive and happy. If it weren't for memories, we would forget everyone who passed on before us. We would forget the happyness of days spent at the park or at a fair. We would forget all the times our friends made us laugh. I'm so glad that I have my memories to hold onto for as long as I can remember them.
