lived in

the countertops are a far cry from what most consider clean littered with a butter wrapper and slices of cheese and crackers potatoes dance in the microwave, sixteen seconds to go late-night chicken sizzles in the oven that has sown many a meal in its day THE HELP sits on the table cracked open, spine slumping forth to greet the striped tablecloth a kettle bursts with tea water; right now it's boiling for hot coca which she'll get to in a minute as soon as she finishes writing about what a kitchen looks like when it's lived in

funny how it snowed

there's nothing like the feel of air that caresses no jacket needed- pack away the mittens, gloves to some forgotten place and push open the windows: breathe the smell of gas is faint blown away by the wind before it has time to settle and the flag is hung waving wildly to passersby the neurotic dog is watching through the window and it's maybe a bit chilly but nothing you can't deal with in fact, this fifty-degree day is just right

funny how it was snowing at the start of the week

dandelion pepper

our yard is a beautiful wasteland blanched in straw (-bale gardening) and, in summer, peppered with dandelions that look more spring than weedy -which we pull from the ground and feast on like pioneers (maybe?) not sure...i am never sure... but always hoping and right now the grass has nary a pesticide (never has) we avoid those yellow flags and opt for an American one which sways from the porch Paris; Italy my mind is full of these places but here, on this porch is as far as I dare to venture for now.

As you can might be able to tell, a couple of these were written while enjoying some supernice weather. :) Thoughts and feedback are appreciated.

My favorite was the first one, I loved it sooooo much. But I liked all three of them! SO FABULOUS!

I like all three of these :) you evoked very clear, happy images in all of them.

The kitchen was the clearest picture in my mind, and I smiled so much at the end of it. Oh, writing. :) "dandelion pepper" did come in close second!
