As With Anything

As with anything
It falls back on itself
On its own cushioned bed
Of propriety
As with anything
It lies by itself
Drinking up the disarray
Of society
And as with anything
It turns in on itself
Musing too deeply
On the consequence of lying
As with anything
It lets go of itself
Of it worries that are apt
To piety

I just threw myself a curveball and spent ten minutes trying to come up with words that rhymed with society. And then when I thought of them, yes, I had to use google.

I liked the poem, but was mainly chuckling at the note! You've gotta do what you've gotta do. Lol.

Sounds like a fun exercise... It's a good poem, it feels like it has the deep meaning, but I wasn't quite sure what that was. I like it! :)
