Lovely Autumn

1. 6:00 am

I breathe it in
Running makes me free
And my little nose so piglet-y pink
So early in the morning when everyone else
Is sleeping soundly

It’s autumn.

2. Autumn
The word makes me smile
Things slow down but get fast
Bright pink cheeks
And red shoes
Folky songs we sing
Pretty coloured leaves
Career questions become clearer
And names I thought I’d forgotten
Come back up again
All in the name of fun, they say
Yeah,
It’s definitely autumn

3. My Lovely

Confiding over hot cups of tea
A good book with some
Long black socks
Those pretty leaves
Falling outside my window

Beautiful, mysterious pine trees
They make my little adventurous bird go wandering
My breath puffs up into little clouds
As I wonder where else could the grass be green

Oh, my autumn
My lovely, lovely autumn
I love you so
And you shall be mine

Aw, these are lovely! And so odd, especially when we're just getting in the thick of summer. :) I love the first poem. And I love how these felt like a complete story. It almost had an arc. I really love the pictures you painted and the coziness and contentment is so present in these. Great job!

Ditto to Homey! I couldn't have said it better!
Love 'em!
