I'm not sure if this really counts as an essay but I was given an assignment in English to write a descriptive composition. I hope you will be able to envision this scene in your mind.
God Bless You All!

The aroma in the kitchen tantalized Eve as any sweet aroma might after a demanding baking day. She turned her head to the left. The sight of a counter covered in flour and the heaps of dirty dishes, pans, and spoons that seemed to be waiting eagerly to be cleaned disheartened her.
But then she averted her eyes towards the right to see, as tiny wisps of steam pushed out from the delicacies, all the delicious and mouthwatering dark chocolate chip cookies, a crisp strawberry lemon pie, and a fresh loaf of Irish Soda Bread cooling.
But yet, there were still more treats baking in the oven. The coffee cake was drizzled artistically with melted dark chocolate. Next to it, the syrupy juice in the apple pie bubbled ferociously from the heat, and a tray contained a neat line of chewy and melt-in-your-mouth brownies with colorful M&Ms positioned on its crust.
Eve couldn’t resist, so she opened the oven cautiously, and took a deep sniff. Sweet scents flooded into her nostrils and the flaming heat nearly scorched her cheeks. She shut the oven hesitantly, reminding herself of the dishes that were waiting to be cleaned.
She sighed and trudged over to the sink. Rinsing a soapy rag, she brushed the cloth with her hand across the middle of the floury counter-top, marking a thick band on the counter.
After a few minutes, she finished washing the dishes. Instead of the filthy, food-spotted dishes heaped upon one another, white, sparkling, and stark-clean dishware stared up at her.
Finally, she thought with satisfaction.
Once again, her eyes wandered over to the cooling treats and she burst into song.
Let us break bread together on our knees,
Let us break bread together on our knees.
When I fall on my knees with my face to the rising sun,
O Lord, have mercy on me.
