Nothing could make me happy. Nothing could make me smile. I had every right to not be happy or smiling.
I was lost in a City where no one spoke English and even finding those whom speak it would be hard.
I wasn’t paying attention and they kept walking but I had stopped. I turn expecting them behind me but instead an older woman with gray hair took the place behind her starring at the art display in the window.
I turned and looked but they were no where to be found. Lost in a crowd of people they had walked on thinking I was trotting behind.
I panicked and ran towards a crowd of people then realized I had run so far away from the art display that had no idea where I was or where I was going. I also realized I had probably ran the direction they hadn’t gone.
Now I sit on a park bench listening to the birds singing…..
