My job: not the norm. Most people my age work in a supermarket, the movie theaters, a fast-food place, babysitting, or even a higher-placed job. My job is nothing like that. My salary is phenomenal. But my job has to be one of the most dangerous yet adventurous jobs ever. It's wickedly awesome. Oh, while I'm mentioning abnormal things, might I also add that I'm not the normal 19-year-old either. Now that's a story to tell. However, you'll find out bits and pieces about me as you keep reading. You're probably wondering what my job is like though. So here's a little tidbit of what my life is like.

Chapter 1

"Hang on," I said in my head. "Just a little longer. They'll give up soon. Hang on a litte longer." Blood was dripping from a large laceration on my forehead and oozing in many other places as my opponents stood in front of me, crouched over me. "How does it feel to finally lose?" one of them said, standing so close they were in my puddle of blood. "How does it feel.....to die?" As he spoke, he raised his gun and was about to finish me off. I then closed my eyes and heard their high-pitched yelling. "What the.....? Where'd she go? She was just there!!!" "Dude, I saw her! She was there!" I had to laugh. These guys were absolutely clueless! "Hey freaks, I'm up here!" I yelled down at them. When they looked up, they were still confused. "Where are you punk? We hear you. Why are you hiding? You invisible or something?!?!" "Oh no, not the least bit," I said, my voice echoing from the small body I was now in. "On the contrary, I'm right in front of your face," I said nonchalantly as I landed on one of their noses. I laughed again. They still couldn't see me! "Give up?" "Never. Just tell us where you are so we can kill you." They threw out a few more choice words in there that I prefer not to say. I winced. These guys were known for their potty mouths. I wanted to be like their mother and wash soap inside their mouths...except I'd make them swallow it so they could choke and die. These were some intense serial killers and the police were so desparate to catch them that they called in their secret weapon (me, of course) to get them. The unfortunate part: I'm not allowed to kill them or even take them to jail myself. Just stun them and then call in the back up to get the guys before they wake up. Now if things could go my way, I'd just nab them and drag them to the jail myself. But do I get to do things my way? Never. Anyway, obviously I need to get these guys, right? And you're probably wondering how I'm gonna accomplish this. So back to the situation. Sorry for my big distraction.

"Hey! Who said I was gonna reveal my position? Where's the fun in that?" I made my voice sound a little hysterical, somewhat like them, but more-so to freak them out (as if they weren't already). "We do, but we're....hey! What are you trying to do here?!?!" "Ohhhh...you'd like to know that, wouldn't you boys?" You see, they still can't see me. If they looked hard enough, they probably could. All I did was take the form of a fly. Very easy. Here comes the fun part though. Scaring the wits out of them! "I guess I'll reveal myself..." Closing my eyes again, I felt myself forming. And of course, heard their shrieks. "Ok! Ok! We surrender! Don't kill us! Please!" "Oh, me kill you? As if!" I had to throw that last line in there. I mean, how many chances do you get to use a girl's voice in a grizzly bear's body? I was laughing SO much (on the inside, of course)! Here I was, these two guys almost murdered me, thinking they would win, and I change the tide of things. Man, I love my job! Anyway, back to the guys. "I'm not gonna kill you. I can't. Not allowed. Notice I said I'M not. Doesn't mean you're not gonna get annihilated sometime. But as for now, let's shut you up for a while. Night-night boys!" And that was that. I shape-shifted back into a fly, then a grizzly again as I got behind them and shot them with tranquilizer darts. After that was done, I returned to my "normal" self, injuries and all. That's the only downside of shape-shifting. Luckily, I heal fast. However, it's time to let the back up know the deed is done. I pulled out my radio to tell them the coast is clear. "Job complete Dad. Come and get 'em while they're fresh!" My voice sounded really raspy because of how beat up I was. "Thanks sweetie. Any injuries?" "No duh Dad. What else would you expect? It's not like I can automatically get these guys! That's not how I work. And if I did tell you how I work, that'd take forever." "Alright. Need me to send an ambulance?" "Yeah, actually that'd be great. I'll request my normal room since it's always left open." "Ok. You sure you're ok?" "I'll be fine Daddy. Don't worry about me. I'm not a little girl anymore."
