Auburn sunsets
O’er silver mountains
Bring home to me
A rare completion—
It’s like I’m not done,
But I don’t need
To worry much
About the future,
About my grades,
Or how my friends
Are acting strange.
The clouds, so peaceful,
Are painting streaks
Of feathers, white—
Cotton fluff
Stretched o’er the sky.
And when the rainbow shines
All is well.

Thank you, Joy! I'm so glad you liked it :) I wrote it for no reason other than that I was just feeling that way, and I'm glad it touched someone other than just me :)
I love it!
A beautiful poem. <3 It has a tranquil sort of feel that makes it wonderful to read and re-read. Well done!

This is so peaceful and sweet. It has a gentle lull about the rhythm that slows my heart and gives me a feeling of quiet rest. The imagery is beautiful and perfect, as always.
