When the Rainbow Shines

Submitted by Libby on Mon, 10/08/2018 - 05:01

Auburn sunsets
O’er silver mountains
Bring home to me
A rare completion—
It’s like I’m not done,
But I don’t need
To worry much
About the future,
About my grades,
Or how my friends
Are acting strange.
The clouds, so peaceful,
Are painting streaks
Of feathers, white—
Cotton fluff
Stretched o’er the sky.
And when the rainbow shines
All is well.

Oh I like this Libby! It's a sweet, simple reminder of the calming, peaceful nature of God's creation. Very sweet poem!

C.S. Lewis ~ "He died not for men, but for each man. If each man had been the only man made, He would have done no less."

A beautiful poem. <3 It has a tranquil sort of feel that makes it wonderful to read and re-read. Well done!

“planting seeds inevitably changes my feelings about rain.” —luci shaw.
psalm 84:10 esv.

This is so peaceful and sweet. It has a gentle lull about the rhythm that slows my heart and gives me a feeling of quiet rest. The imagery is beautiful and perfect, as always.

I don’t thrive off of chaos: chaos thrives off of me.
