Chapter 2   Sherylyn leaned against her proped up arm, "If Shakespreare was so interested in fairy's, why is it so hard to understand".  " Uh... It's Shakespreare. Who can understand him", her friend Emma Jade Parker joked smiling, she then frowned, looking down at her Shakespreare play ' Midsummer's nights dream' .  " I told you we would be better off with Cicely Mary Baker's flower faries " Sherylyn said closing the confusing play, " I think we got as much as we can do today".  " Yeah," Emma agreed, in turn closing her play book .  " Hey Sam, how's it going?" Sheylyn called out. Butterflies flew around in her stomach, the way it did ever sense her cousin Thorra  had said Sam was " Cute" and " He looks like your type" . " "Gross!" she had said, "he's just my friend, nothing else”. Samuel Paige Morris tried smiling, but it was more of a grimace, “Hi”.  “You ok?” Emma asked.  “Yep. I’m fine! Why?” he said quickly.  “Well..one, you made a face, two, you were talking very fast. And three your hands are shaking like a dog afraid of thunderstorms." Emma gave him a knowing look.  “To tell you the truth…”, he glanced at Sherylyn and quickly he looked back at Emma, “ I’m nervous about the test. I mean, have you ever gave a thought, what if Centaurs and Faries are real?” the girls looked at him blankly,  “I’ve thought about it.” Sherylyn said, “Lots of times actually”.  “I guess once or twice,” Emma admitted.  “See-there’s my point! Maybe they are real”.  “I think you are all crazy!” the voice of an amused Mr. James said behind them. Sherylyn grimaced. A big moving van was parked at the curb,  “Not yet!”.  “Sherylyn!” her father warned. She'd heard his no-business tone before so she hugged Sam uncomfortably then Emma.  “Bye”, she said to both of them then walked to the big van turning and waving as she went, "Bye!” she repeated from out the window as they drove away…       Ashten, Eli, Brooke sighed as she drove. Silence filled the silver suburban. That seemed to always be the problem, there was just no excitement in her life, or at least no excitement without James. And even though she was about to turn thirty and James was about to be thirty-eight, it didn’t seem to bother her or him. She wished that she could always be with him, but she knew that would never happen after his two wives. Poor thing! She thought to herself and, poor Lyn his daughter! She was only three when her mother died, then her second mother didn’t like children. She beat Lyn and made her work. James had divorced her, when one day he had went into their apartment and it was a mess. Lamps were overturned, paper lay everywhere, and in the midst of everything Lyn was being chased by Jennifer, who held a wooden plank with the nails still in it, Lyn had red marks on her back, blood oozing out of each little wound. "Yes especially poor Sherylyn”…     Starlight was an odd fairy. Instead of being born right away and being new born, she had lived one hundred and twenty three years in her mother’s stomach, unborn. When she was born her years had caught up with her very quick, in a month she had reached her full growth and continued to grow naturally. But she only looked the age of twelve or thirteen.   “Silverstone!” Starlight called out. A woman with skin that looked like smooth white stone and silvery wings, came to her side. "Yes my lady?" Silverstone said her voice was smooth and gentle.  "Silverstone, do you mind, taking me out for a stroll in the gardens, I feel traped in this castle, and father has ordored that I was not aloud to go out of the walls without supervision". "Of course my lady, I will ask Whitestorm to guard us." Silverstone turned.  "But he's a Knight! And father needs all the help he can get for his silly Taking-over-the-world thing," Starlight protested.   "Oh but my lady you father told me to fetch for Whitestorm whenever you called to walk," Silverstone said nervously.  "Oh...well alright then," Starlight said her voice was soft. Silverstone walked out of the room. Ten minutes latter she came back to come take her for a walk. Whitestorm was a big muscular, handsom fairy and his wings were of a brilant white, and whenever he would fly he would make a storm of dust and leaves with his powerful wings. His tunic was white with silver embroidary. "Silverstone," Starlight said in a small voice trying her best to ignore Whitestorm.  "Yes my lady?"  "Oh for the love of Puck the mischievious. Please call me Starlight!"  "Yes Starlight" "Thank you." Starlight hesitated before going on, "do you ever wonder how humans live?" "I know what humans live!" Whitestorm answered, unhelpfully. "They are trechorous. They smash at us and lock us up and starve us".  "I wasn't talking to you Whitestorm" Starlight snapped, looking away from him.  "But it's true! They're nothing but monsters! They trap us then, leave us to die with hardly any air to breath and no food to eat!" Whitestorm raised his voice.  " NO! sometimes faries survive! remember, you were trapped and they let you go". Starlight made a turn quickening her pace, she extened her wings, and she flew into the air , leaving Whitestorm and Silverstone puzzled behind her....     "Welcome home!" James said smiling as he looked upon his house.  "Its lovely!" Lyn gasped looking at the tudor style house. "I've always wanted this kind of place to live!".  "I know." As they walked through the front door, the smell of unlived-in house hit them. Lyn had to gasp again at the entrance. A small chandilier was lit and the walls were of the older-style. They could see the wooden steps of the stairs, which curved halfway up.  "I love it!" she said breath taken.  "Wait look in here", James said,  leading her to a door way. A huge living room was inside.  "Whoooah!"  "Oh and look in the kitchen!" "COOL!" she exclaimed. There where two gas burning stoves, two sinks, and what seemed like thousands of drawers and shelves. "This place is like a dream come true!"  "Want to check out the rooms?" her father asked with a devilish smile was on his face. Lyn got into a running stance. "On your mark, get set, GO!" Lyn was pushed playfully by her father.  "HEY!" She protested. They ran upstairs, both going for a diffrent room. Lyn burst through a large door. She gasped. The room was as big as an apartment. That was great! But the carpet was red and the walls were white.  "Hmm... the carpet will HAVE to go. But look at the size of this thing!". She wandered around the room, turning in circles. She saw a door and opened it, guessing it to be a closet. A master bathroom was inside, it had a gicussee bathtub, a shower, two sinks, six cabnets, tile flooring, cream colored walls, and another door that  lead to a walk in closet.  "This is so my room!"  "You like it!" James said from the bathroom doorway. Lyn turned around startled.  "Yes very much!"  "There's three other bedrooms to choose from too!"  "So there's five all together?" She asked.  "Yup! And they're all ours..."
