Fangs and Eyes They stare unblinking at each other, forever locked in an endless gaze Golden face and silver skin The animal and the man, when hearts match not the shell neither is safe, but only one is good For the lion’s heart is full of deeper magic ere the dawn of time and his eyes stop all foolish words, yet the other’s eyes provoke the giggles of brainless, clumsy, unguarded girls One knows the depths of my heart, a growing friendship since my youth; the pale-skinned, dark-eyed stranger lures in victims by his thoughts I can hear them whispering at night when I’m halfway across sleep’s river “Why should I listen to you? I’m over one hundred, I know more than you?” The strange, unearthly sound of the Lion’s laughter amusement at this petty boy “I am older than you, both in my tale and in my world. I made a world and died for it— can you say the same, pretty boy?” “I saved a girl from a van—“ “Shall I tell you of my world? Shall I relate the whole of its time from the first note to the last darkness?” For a moment, there is silence. I imagine cold skin, overdue for burial, and shiver wishing to bury my hands in the Lion’s golden mane “Do you wish to be this monster?” The Lion asks The boy’s skin sparkles like glitter against his flint eyes “I am myself. I am this.” Tears dripped to the floor each more precious than the earth made of diamonds “There was another Ed once who rejected goodness but I paid his ransom— I could do the same for you, if you would accept it” A quiet word hangs unspoken What is his answer? BLARRR! I roll over and slam off my alarm They freeze in morning’s light two faces, the silver and the gold The gleaming fangs and the deep eyes

Actually, it was inspired by two posters. I have a Voyage of the Dawn Treader poster on my desk, and my roommate has a Twilight poster on her desk. Because of the way our desks are set up, the posters face each other.

Wow. Epicness out the window
Wow. Epicness out the window like epic has never seen. That really didn't make any sense, but it encapsulates my thoughts right now. Bravo, Kestrel, bravi, bravi, bravisimi
ooohh!
I love voyage of the dawn treader! And it difinitly reminded me of it!
This was really good! I felt it in my heart, like most good poems do!
Great job!

Dude. This could be a
Dude. This could be a story. A combination of two fanfictions. And normally, I hate fanfiction, and I really don't like Twilight. But this could be good. No pressure. ;-)

Good :)
Really creative and interesting...I am a fan of Twilight but also like Narnia...I just think Edward is a bit better than you make him to be in this. He's not so bad. And he doesn't like being a vampire. But that is a totally different topic, isn't it? =)
Once again, I like it! It drew me in from the beginning and held me until the last word. I read it over several times so I could fully understand it. I just want to know...what does Edward answer back to him? LOL! It's really good...like a short story.

First of all, I will disclose that I haven't actually read the books. But I find the fans (specifically the Twihards) even scarier than any sparkly undead dude. Only elves should sparkle. With that said, I don't think Edward would say anything.
Offtopic, are you by chance the Ariel_Lisse of DioM? I'm Galadriel there

Did you actually have a dream
Did you actually have a dream where those two faced off? Wow. That would have been epic. Not because I think Twilight is epic, but because I think Aslan doing this is.
