And if our true home is heaven why fellowship with darkness?” Why is fantasy replete with curious children and wise, elderly men? Well, at eighteen, I’m no longer a child and I’ll never be a wise elderly man Sure, there are exceptions but… I sigh why this hunger never filled why this irrational ache C. S Lewis said If we find ourselves with a desire that nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that we were made for another world In the Inkworld characters change stories— not just within the limits but they switch world like hermit crabs I’ve read enough to classify the Elven clans I’ve read enough to escape a dragon’s lair And if I got three wishes I could use them wisely So why do all adventures come to the unprepared?
