I just can’t
I can’t do it
I have no strength
To avail me
In my struggles,
My pain and sorrow
My hardships and trials
What can I do?
“There’s nothing you can do”
I’m tempted to believe
It seems so true
It could not get better
“Forget it all
Give in
You always be helpless
Never changing
You’ll never amount
To anything”

But the Spirit inside me says
“NO!”
The Ghost inside reassures:
“I’ve given you a weapon
That’s powerful and crushing
Over the enemy!

A song…

A song of praise
A song of grace
Mercy
Forgiveness
Love
A song of victory!
For who dwells inside you?
What shall save you?
Human strength?
Your talents?
Your treasures?
No.

Who shall save you?
The LORD of heaven
And of the earth
Of the universe!”

Sing it out!
Sing out the truth!
Even if you don’t
Feel good
Sing out what you know
Is true
Speak the truth
To your heart and soul
Truth
Crushing the lies
Faith
Crushing the fear

Make a weapon of song
Make praise your defense
Rejecting
The lies
Embracing
The truth.

This is so good!! So timely to this season of my life. Just yesterday I was praying that the Lord would remind me to rejoice in Him more faithfully. So beautiful. I needed this poem.
