Rain
Pitter, patter,
Pitter, patter,
We love to hear,
The rain gently chatter.
Sometimes it's destructive,
And will cause floods,
And cause many people to die,
It's worse than chocolate duds.
It often comes with thunderstorms,
With lightning and with thunder,
It can be soft and can be hard,
And comes not by blunder.
Mysterious People
They wear gray and black,
With hoods and with cloaks,
They sure look scary,
Speaking with eerie croaks.
They often help people,
Protecting them from evil,
They do lots of good,
And are better than weevils.
Most can go without food,
For days on end.
No faces to be seen.
Just black and gray clothes.
??????????
I don't know what to write about,
So I will just write this,
I don't have much brain to use,
Excuse me if I shout.
(I didn't write this because it was true; I wrote it because it was the best rhyming word I could find.)
(More recent note: Excuse the above note if you are
confused; this was an extremely random poem!)
SWIMMING
I'd like to go swimming,
For it is such a hot day,
To splash about in the pool,
To splash about and play.
'Tis fun to get cold,
When you're hot through and through,
If I don't get wet,
I will go KAPOOF!!!
We're Racing!!
We're on a race,
Who'll get to church first?
The van or the Focus,
Who'll be the worst?
I hope the Focus wins,
I'm a Focus passenger,
We just passed them,
And now we're ahead of her.
We waved hello,
And cheerily passed them,
This is great fun,
Using my imagination!!!!!!!
(Written on the way to church, with me and a couple others in one of our small cars, and everyone else in our fifteen-passenger. Note added today.)

Ha ha! Much like some of my first poems :) Fun how you didn't care and making it rhyme was the most important thing. Hilarious how I used to think they were the greatest thing ever, too. LOL
Thanks for sharing them.
Thanks!!
Thanks!
Yeah, I wasn't much for poetry, but I wrote poems anyway!
Funny how all of our first poems are wonky...

hmmm.....
In the random poem, I have no idea why the word 'are' in my extra note is way out yonder, so please ignore it!!

Oh, the hands that hold the world have set me free/He has broken every chain.
So I'll lift my hands up to the one who saves."
