Queen Luna

Dawn breaks Night’s long reign
Of sky and sea and in every plain

The Moon is the Queen
Her crown on her head
Shining in the darkness
While children sleep in bed.

The Stars are her squires and knights
Who fight valiantly through the night
And protect the little children
As they sleep tight

So the Sun comes up, its rays so bright
To awake the flowers and birds in their flight

Oh children, oh children, wake up sleepy heads
Slip on your clothes
And get up from bed.

Joziah, this was amazing. I never read such a wonderful, beautiful, peaceful poem by you.

"It is not the length of life, but the depth of life." Ralph Waldo Emerson

I love this Joziah! It is totally amazing! You should definitely write more poetry soon. My fav line was:

Dawn breaks Night’s long reign
Of sky and sea and in every plain

Keep writing Friend!
-Susannah

"Even if the sun crashes into earth, I won't let go, I won't let go. I can be your light, stay with me tonight, I won't let go, I won't let go."

I just really had to say that. Joziah, again you need to keep writing poetry as good as this.

"It is not the length of life, but the depth of life." Ralph Waldo Emerson

I should really post my sis's poetry on here. She's way better than me. Does at least four pages of this stuff.

"The trip is a difficult one. I will not be myself when I reach you."-When I Reach Me.

You should tell Ashadee to join as a homeschool graduate so I can read her writing on here. :)

EDIT: Actually, I forgot she should join as a homeschool graduate homeschooling children. That would be really fun.

By the way, was this the assignment from H's Writing Class?

"It is not the length of life, but the depth of life." Ralph Waldo Emerson

Very well done, Joziah! If you write any more, (hopefully soon) be sure to post it here!!

Goodbye? Oh no, please. Can’t we just go back to page one and start all over again?” – Winnie The Pooh

Felt like it should be in a nursery rhyme book ;)
