Heroes: a Song

(Verse 1)
I see a young lad, standing up to the Giant
Head up, starring in defiance
When no one would fight the Giant, he did
Some said, “The boy’s but a kid.”
Can he actually win?

(Chorus)
They stood on sure foundation
Their feet on solid ground
Some led entire nations
God never let them down

(Verse 2)
I see a man, leading home his sheep
God told him “This act of faith you must leap
“My promise to Israel, I must keep.
I AM the LORD and they will see
With My power, you will set them free.”

They stood on sure foundation
Their feet on solid ground
Some led entire nations
God never let them down

(Verse 3)
I see a woman, her head held high
Swallowing the temptation to cry
Her people beg for to her to see the king
They’re just slaves and she’s a queen
She will show great bravery
That no King has ever seen

*music bridge*

(Bridge)
As I see these heroes stand for the LORD
I ask, would I have the courage to go
To let Your light glow?
Oh God give me the power
As You did Your heroes.

They stood on sure foundation
Their feet on solid ground
Some led entire nations
God never let them down.

David, Moses, and Esther, of course! You made it plain.
I really like this! I wish I could hear the music that you wrote for it.
Keep it up!
And God bless you.
