I've beaten all these many years?
How can I? -- How can I not?
Will I lay eye again on what was dear to me?
recover what along the way was lost?
Dear God...
When this path turns to two
Which will I know to take? How will I know
the one that leads me home?
the one that leads me back to you?
There's just no telling. Roll the dice --
Pull a straw -- Close your eyes, take a spin,
and point. There's just no telling, is there?
If I should take a dark and dusty road
not destined to be mine, I'll not be long.
I'm sure to come this way again
if only but to give it one more go.
But if my guess is right (I dearly hope it is)
How many fewer miles remain
before my journey's end
and I return to You?

Hmm
I think It's the questions that make this poem so pungent. Good job.
"There are no great men of God. There are only pitiful, sorry men whose God is great beyond measure." - Paul Washer [originally Jonathan Edwards]
lol
I had to look up pungent to make sure there wasn't an alternative definition I was unaware of...(just teasing Ezra).
Nice job though Taylor. I've noticed your poetry as of late has been very confessional, I don't know if you want to, but I'd like to read some lighter-hearted pieces from you ;) .
Wow, soft, lovely, hopeful.
Wow, soft, lovely, hopeful. I really like it, Taylor.
