Chapter 10

Jack looked around. Where had Aalen gone?
Glancing back at Alegis, Jack walked out into the woods.
it was amazing, only an hour ago Jack was dodging dragon tail, and now Alegis was his best friend.
Jack started. He heard a stick snap. "Aalen? Is that you? Alegis?"
"Nope." said Nordic Malushomo.
"Alegis!" Jack fell. Pierced by an arrow.

Nomen jumped. “Where did that arrow come from?”
“A bow.” said Aalen.
Kalen looked around. “Who fired the bow Aalen?”
“A mercenary, working for Nordic.”

Normal 0 Years later, Kaitlin came back to her aunt’s house. She was now sixteen and her aunt expected her to get married. She was planning lots of parties and calls and things like that. Kaitlin had never really forgotten her encounter with that boy. But now she pushed it to the back of her mind as she rode down the broad path to her aunt’s house. As she looked to the side of the road, she thought she saw something looking out at her from behind a tree. She shook it from her head as the carriage approached the front gate of the huge estate her aunt called home.

Chapter 9

Aalen walked a few feet from where Alegis and Jack were talking.
Taking a deep breath he disappeared.

Kalen was painting again: It was a picture of Nomen. The low-cut boots and the gray pantaloons had come out fine, the green jacket and white shirt were decent, but putting the black hair on the head was proving difficult. Kalen looked over his work again. The face looked pretty good except, it didn’t have eyes. Kalen started on the eyes and noticed something: the picture had moved.
Not the paper but the picture, the subject.

Phoenix Flower

Submitted by Aalen Fideli on Mon, 06/20/2011 - 04:51

Flower burning, Midnight bright,

Moonlit ocean of the night.

Dragons sing and walk with you,

Remember nothing save the tune.

The phoenix rises before your eyes as the sun sets low in the sky.

The fire flashes and from the ashes the phoenix flow'r will fly.

Sing the song of a heart in flame.

Rise to honor the Holy Name.

Dragons dreaming of what is true

will one day wake to an ugly new.

The phoenix sails and will never fail on the ocean of the night.

Chapter 7

Jack stood up. Fast. Who put that thorn bush there?

After stifling a few loud Ouches and disentangling the briars from his pants Nunk looked around.

The man he was following had disappeared.

Stopping next to a small pool, Nonunc looked at himself in the water.

There were leaves in his straight black hair, his favorite blue jacket was covered in mud, his pants had holes in them and his shirt was ripped.

Chapter 4

Kalen sat up. There was something moving out in the dark.
"Probably the dragon" He told himself. But he didn't believe it.
"Boo!"
"Aaaughh!" Kalen screamed. Not yelled, screamed. Fact: girls yell, Boys scream. Like this one.
"Aaaaaaaauuuugghhhh!"
"What?" said the other boy?
"Where did you come from?" asked Kalen.
"Absolutely nowhere" replied the boy.
"Oh, wai... Huh?"
"I thinjumfell in"
"Huh?"
"To rephrase. I thinked, jumped and fell here"

Chapter 2

As night fell, Kalen walked over to the tree he had seen earlier. Finding that this was as good a place as any to stay the night, he sat down.

And immediately stood up again, what a dumb place to put a... what was that? The Thing was a locket of sorts; a hand sized locket.

It had spikes around the edge, which made it as difficult to sit on as it was to open. But having done so, Kalen looked inside, it had a name carved on it: Alegis Etus Ordinius.

Chapter 1

Kalen looked around. He was getting a serious feeling of deja vu. There was the stone wall, the tree, the tall grass, the dragon and a faint bit of music.
A song he had heard before. there were words sometimes. it went: "flower burning, midnight bright. moonlit ocean of the night. dragons sing and walk with you. remember nothing save the tune."
All very random.

~For the Theme of Spring, a Mysterious Jar

You’re spinning by

Too fast for me to hold you

My arms are reaching, my hands are grasping

You’re passing me by my fingertips

You are glowing,

Glowing like the moon is within your skin

You laugh and pass me by

Like mist in the hills

There mist lays white-brushed clouds

Yet it’s unreachable

Your wings are silver

Glimmering like a fish’s tail
