I'm always happy to receive feedback about this story. It's one of the bigger projects that I've undertaken in my writing life, and I'm so happy to be sharing it on here! Any comments here or on my blog (www.charlieandmewrite.blogspot.com) would be most appreciated! :D

She knew just how she was going to tell him. She was going to look him straight in the eye and say, 'Doctor, you will never see me again.'

No no... that's not going to work, Millie thought as she walked home from work.

A/N: I do not own any phrases or words that might have been taken from C.S. Lewis’ epic masterpiece and do not wish to.

“Aslan?” I called out with puzzlement. “Aslan, where are you?”
There was no reply.
I sank down on my knees onto the lush green grass and thought to myself, What did I get myself into? So that was reason why I was brought into Narnia?! Since when did I become so special? I forced myself to think about other things. It’s so peaceful in Narnia.
“Not for long,” a voice in my head said.

It was a highly blustrous day which is perfect for urban sailboarding.
Pete and J-Boy were at the local college campus doing just that.

Pete invented the sport. The sailboard is a board similar to a skateboard with a mast in the center.
The mast holds the sail used for steering. A second sail, similar to a parachute, is attached at several points on the board.

This is the first story I ever completed. I wrote it back in Mar/Apr of 2011, for a story contest. Thought I'd just share it with y'all.. Hope ya like it.

In this story, I do reveal what one of the characters thinks.. but since I can't get italics to work.. I'll use *this* to denote his thoughts.

Without further ado, delay or chatter... I present to you; A Saga of the West!

James reached the top of the ridge, and pulled up his horse. In the valley ahead of him lay his destination, the town of Grillhorn. James pulled out the letter again.

What on earth am I going to do?

Millie felt her palms growing sweaty. She hoped and prayed that the Doctor would be long gone by the time she returned, and slowed her pace considerably so that it would take her far longer to reach the house.

How long she wandered in that shaded lane, she could not tell; she had no desire to return home and still less to go back to the present.

And I thought the past would be a relief from my troubles, she thought bitterly.

The Jackalope Wish

Keely pounced. Her hands closed on squirming, wiggling fur.
"Got you!" she yelled.
"Ugh, ugh, let me go," said the jackalope.
"Not until you grant me a wish. You can do that, right?"
"No!"
"You can so! I know because George used one of you to find the best place to dig the new well for the kitchen garden."
"Oh, very well," groaned the jackalope. "What is it, then?"

“Merry Christmas! Long Live the true King!” Father Christmas shouted back to us as his voice faded in the distance; echoing all around us.
We watched him until his sled, with him inside it start to diminish.
Suddenly, Lucy exclaimed, “Look, he left a sack on the floor! Why don’t we open it?”
We all knelt down in the slowly melting snow and took out its contents.
“Oh,” Susan gasped in delight.” it’s a tea set with some sugar and cream! How lovely!”
Meanwhile, Peter was showing his sword proudly to Mr. Beaver.
