O Almond Tree

I would like to know, it's simply the nature of curiosity,

How does one grow so, and yet does not bow?

What does one see, you're simply so high in the sky.

It's just the nature of my curiosity.

I would like to know, it's simply the nature of curiosity,

Do you mind all the climbing, clambering children?

They scale your branches so effortlessly, and I wonder, what do they see?

It's just the nature of my curiosity.

I would like to know, it's simply the nature of curiosity,

What of your glorious pink blooms?

The Ultimate Decision, Part 3

Derek dove into the limousine. "Push over, Diego," he said to a boy his age. "We need to get out of here fast, before the police find out they're needed."

The faint wail of sirens sped them up. The leader jumped into the driver's seat, buckled hastily, and started the vehicle. He jammed down on the accelerator and they sped away.

The jostling and bumping soon awoke Dominica, and she heard the wail of sirens get louder. Then the limousine stopped.

"Your license please," came a commanding voice.

Fearless

muddy boots, thoughts of rain,

air, air,

chilly morning in haze

red barn door contrasting

murmur of anxious nickers asking

you caress,

brown eyes and hooves

saddle and reins tighten,

awaiting, awaiting,

the racing of two

girth groans the saddle creaks

you feel,

the wish with happiness

the urge of the wind says

come, come,

it beckons and lifts you up

invisible hands that reach beneath

your arms and wrap around you

Majestic Nature

Whispers heard everywhere

The flowers swayed in the autumn breeze

The green grasses would bear the Sun's

Rays that made the morning dew drops glisten

The birds are chirping, do you hear them

Singing the early morning melody

Flying happily, oblivious to the lens that pointed

At the beauty of the place that is so free

The crackling of the leaves and twigs

And the soothing effect of the ocean breeze

Makes the world that's so big and crazy
