A Lonely Poem

Submitted by Tamerah on Sun, 03/02/2008 - 04:22

These frozen nights
Are telling stories
Of dead ends and broken bones
Our dark weather
Makes us so alone
And we lament for being mislead
But it's really the morning we dread
And the good it brings
Because we still cling
To the dark.
In solitary we're sleeping
Divided we're dreaming
That things can still change
For the better
These heavy clouds
Let loose the water
That washes us away
We're praying for tomorrow
And today, we're still hoping
That things will get better
That things can still change
In spite of the weather.

Excellent work Tamerah! A bit dreary though.*wink*

Yes that is always my problem when I try and write poery, its always depressing!

Personally I love your poetry, this not least. Who cares if it's dreary, it's beautiful.

I have hated the words and I have loved them, and I hope I have made them right. --The Book Thief

Tamerah, your Poem is quite lovely...as I was trying to say from the beginning. I'm Extremely sorry if I confused you. Infact, the poem I am working on , at the moment, is most sad and lonely, as well.

Stop putting yourself down. You're making me sad. Seriously.

Well, it doesn't matter anyway; because I have chosen not to be effected by any of your "effects"...jk.

Holy cow!!!
I loved this poem. It's your best yet. I'm jealous that I can't claim this one as my own. Great use of words and images.
LOVE IT!!!

Hey, just saying I still like it :) - it's just as good now that it's posted as it was when I first read it. :) (Even if it's still a bit dark.) :)

big hugs,
me

This is lovely. As far as being depressing...I don't think there is any problem with it. If we were never depressed, there would be no value in happiness (but neither let us dwell in misery and woe) . Delightful work.
