My tears sting my cheeks

My eyes can't cry anymore

My face is all red

I'm battered and torn.

While all this is happening

And tears stain the page

God looks down at me

And wonders at my rage.

Then He lifts up my head

Tells me not to cry

Because I was born a Princess

And as a Princess, I should not cry.

For a Princess should not waste tears

On little, petty things

A Princess should be focused on

Christ, the Immortal King.
