Daydreams

Somewhere out there
Under the ocean
Up in the air
Over that hill
Among the trees
Something is calling
Calling to me

Its a bird singing its song
Its the wind in the grass
Its the frog in the pond

Its everything I'm not
And everything I want to be
Its everything I've got
And its everything I need

Its where the birds fly
Its where the fish swim
Its more than just getting by
Its the scent on the wind
Its where I go to be alone
Its somewhere safe and far away
Its somewhere near and close to home
And it calls to me day by day

Its laying in the shade of a tree
Its the crash of the wave on the beach
Its much bigger than me and you
Its something we all need to see
But something most of us never do

Its in the smell of Spring
Its in the heat of Summer
Its in the winds of Autumn
Its in the frosts of Winter

Its the land of the lost
And of the undiscovered
Where all mysteries can be uncovered

It calls to me day and night
And if it calls to you
Come and join me too
As I weave my dreams
Out of clouds and stars

You make it sound so easy... I wish I could just let go and daydream -- I'm afraid I'm not very good at it anymore. I love the lines: Its the land of the lost/ And of the undiscovered/ Where all mysteries can be/ uncovered -- makes you want to go there doesn't it?

Wow Tamerah, thats really good! Keep up the good work!

Yeah, this is the kind of stuff I think of when I'm bored and I start thinking that I need to go to some other country really far away, cuz I'm just so bored and I want to grow up fast and do something exciting. Pretty nice.

I was looking at some of Mommy's posts and I thought I'd look at some of your's too.
And I thought I'd say that this is my favorite.

A beautiful poem. You portrayed your thoughts very well!

I love this one!

I have hated the words and I have loved them, and I hope I have made them right. --The Book Thief

Thanks Anna =]

I really don't like this one as much as when I first wrote it. This was actually my very first poem.
