Ghosts of Who I Used to Be

There are ghosts that follow me Shades of who I used to be A child with a rose in her cheek A teenager who just can’t sleep In my ear they sing soft melodies Tales of who I used to be A college student full of hope A wife who found she couldn’t cope Their hallow eyes reflect to me Hints of who I used to be Clothes that were in fashion years ago Faces that I used to know In the mirror of my heart I see Those ghosts of who I used to be

I really enjoyed how you wrote this poem. It was yourself in words and it showed a lot of heart and courage.
