When I look up, I can see,
The great clouds looking down at me.
I try to think of what they’re thinking,
In the bright sky where the sun is sinking.
They look quite happy to me,
From all that I can see…
And what I see is all of this:
Clouds floating in their bliss!
They seem to have a personality,
And posses masses of morality!
Each has his own sundry shape,
Beneath his fluffy crimson cape.
One may look like a dragon-snap,
Another like a Venus trap!
But all are different, don’t you see?
Just like no one’s the same as me!
The sky is looking brilliant now,
Don’t you see the big brown cow?
The fluff the stuff is made of,
Just has to be made of love!
I see an elephant in the present,
And there is a cheery pheasant!
These clouds are so amusing,
Look, there is a big one snoozing!
But, the sky has turned to dusk,
And I must go in to husk,
But I know that tomorrow morn,
There will be clouds again above the corn!
I like this fairly well. Very
I like this fairly well. Very whimsical and fun. But I feel that there are some weak lines that hinder rather than clarify the image you are trying to convey. The scene felt a little conflicted to me.
