The Truth In Me I Could Not Bear, Joshua P.

The truth in me I could not bear
My face looked bright without a care
But to show what was inside, I would not dare
I searched for a way, a way out of there

For the longest time I felt so tied
Like I couldn't run and had to hide
Like deep inside my heart had died
To all my friends I'd lived, but lied
And late and night my heart, it cried

Now I have found a way to get out of this place
It was only by grace
I had seen my Savior's face
I found a way to get back in the race
To live in this world and still feel safe

I found a freedom, free for the taking
Many years was in the making

High past the last star
My Lord waits as I cry so far

Comforted by grace
And held within His warm embrace
