Eerie Room

*another school thing*

Everything in the room looked old and gloomy. An old maroon and white patterned rug lay in the center of the worn wooden floor. At the head of the rug sat an old table, on top of which a worn book sat, as if it had been read many times. On either side of the table an off-white, floral patterned couch sat surrounding the rug and facing a grimy fireplace. This fireplace was tarnish with old ashes from previous fires making the cold room only seem even more bleak and gloomy. On the mantel piece above the fireplace sat two sad looking pictures surrounded and covered by thick layers of dust. Faded pink wallpaper crawled up the walls and met the off-white ceiling. In the exact center of the water stained ceiling hung an eerie light fixture looking as if it might fall at any minute. The dim light that shined out of it cast a strange shadow over all the contents of the room completely completing the haunting feel of the room.

I like this. Such an awesomely creepy place...I feel like Sherlock Holmes is about to walk in and start solving a mystery. Good job.
