Servants! Prepare a feast!
For on this day are we saved
From the prospect of a dismal world
Devoid of that apricot pie we all crave
A banquet! A ball!
Invite everyone
Each author, each poet
Living under the sun
Celebrate we must,
And celebrate we shall!
You, there! Run along,
Prepare the banquet hall!
Such feasting and revelry,
Such merriment tonight!
We must welcome the guest of honor,
Sir James, who saved us from our plight!
This gracious gentleman,
A hero he now must be
An example of writerly excellence
And timely chivalry
Are all the tables properly set?
Have the candles all been lit?
All must be perfect, all must be grand
Before our guests we can admit
Now everything is perfect,
The writers, let them in!
Let this glorious feast and celebration
Begin!
Hurrah
So, I assume we have plenty of apricots at this feast. Apricot juice...apricot jello...and of course, APRICOT PIE!
