The Old Lady set the frog down on her table
and started heating up a pot of water, to give the poor thing a bath
to thaw it out.
But when she tried to pick up the frog, to put it in the pot
It's tried to jump away.
With what the Old Lady could have sworn was a look of panic on it's face.
However, years of cooking had given her fast reflexes and she bent over and picked
the poor frog up and held it securely.
As she started to lower her extremely frightened frog into the pot,
she was startled to hear a knock at her door.
"My my, who in their right mind is out on a night like tonight!?"
Though she.
Hurriedly, for it was a frightful storm brewing and she would hate for anyone to have to
wait another second out in it, the Old Lady went to answer the door,
still holding the frog.
But instead of her neighbors, whom she thought it was most likely coming to her home,
There was a simple box, with a red ribbon tied 'round it.
"My lands, what on earth is this?" wondered the Old Lady.
She pickede up the box and shut her door and headed back to the kitchen.
The poor frog by now was having issues breathing.
