Hesitance

I want to say a few words...
I know what they mean
but maybe you don't
so I won't
say anything.

I want to reach out my hand...
If you would take it I'd be glad
but maybe you wouldn't
so I feel I shouldn't
I hold my hand behind my back.

I want to send a letter...
I know what it's for
but maybe you don't
so I guess I won't
write it any more.

I want to call out your name
Feel the joy that it brings
but maybe you won't
and so I don't...
but I just want to sing.

I want to sing hello
I want to sing, 'friend'
I want to sing my laughter
until the day does end.

But I guess its too late
I guess it's just fate,
so I won't,
so I don't...
goodbye.

No.
No.
I call out,
"Hello?"

Wow, all my recent poems have been of the slightly melancholy kind, it seems... at least this one isn't quite so bad. Anyway, sometimes I feel like I'm too hesitant...

Lovely rhythm.

This is really good, Hannah. I love it. [and I can relate!]

If I disappear, and you cannot find me, please don't worry.
Just be sure to check all the wardrobes.

"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve." -Bilbo Baggins [The Lord of the Rings]

You are really an amazing poet, and I hesitate a lot of times too, except I don't always get brave enough to say 'Hello' at the end.

"True love is the greatest thing in the world - except for a nice MLT - mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich, when the mutton is nice and lean, and the tomato is ripe." - Miracle Max, from The Princess Bride

"I always wonder why birds stay in the same place when they can fly anywhere on the earth. Then I ask myself the same question." - Harun Yahya

Thanks, everyone. :D And its good to know that people can relate. :)
