Ethan Amos, clever boy,
There's nothing you can't do.
Why, you could tame a lion
And box a kangaroo.
You could go deep in the jungle
And pretend you are an ape.
You could also go to prison,
But only to escape.
I wouldn't be surprised at all
To see you fly a plane
Oh, you're in a submarine?
There's no need to explain.
I heard you went to Spain last week.
Do please tell me more.
Oh! There was a bull fight?
You were the matador?!
And when you were in London,
You had tea with the queen?
And when you went to Greenland
It wasn't very green?
Weren't you in Egypt,
Digging up some bones?
Are you sure you're Ethan
And not Indiana Jones?
I think I saw you yesterday,
But you were in disguise.
I'm assuming you were dealing
With those shady Russian spies.
The tales of your adventures,
Go on and on forever.
You really are, quite clearly,
The cleverest of clever.
I don't know how you do it...
Exploring the whole map,
And having those adventures,
And still have time to nap!
You really are amazing...
All the things you do!
It must be really something
To be a boy like you.

It's been so long
It's good to see you posting again! I enjoyed this poem a lot... it was fun and humorous with a catchy rhythm, and yet at the same time it took me in my mind from one exotic place to another. I hope you keep posting more!
