If You Can

Have you ever held the rain,
Touched the water, smooth like glass,
Walked barefoot through the dew,
Lay carefree in the grass?
Ever tried to reach a star?
Helped a hummingbird to fly?
Ever tried to brave the storm,
Watch it turn back to blue sky?
If you've cried with snowflakes dying,
Ever heard a flower sing,
Ever joined the willow crying,
Ever seen a song take wing,
Ever dared to feel the magic,
Ever heard the griffin's call,
Caught the eye of shining dragons,
Ever seen a phoenix fall,
Ever joined the dryads dancing,
Heard the music that fauns play,
If you’ve ever flown with butterflies,
Seen stars although it’s day,
Then let’s run next to unicorns,
Swordfight with centaurs brave,
For I like to play with magic,
And I want to know the way.
