Through the Mist

It's a cold misty morning,
The sun is just rising,
She walks through the grass,
She walks in the dawn,
She stops by a rose bush,
She plucks a red rose,
As she smells,
The flowers sweetness,
Tears come to her eyes.
Looking at the rising sun,
She begins to cry.
Thinking of the bitter life she's led,
Thinking of her troubles,
Another sigh is heaved,
Another tear is shed.
A hand is laid upon her shoulder,
A comforting word said,
Her love has returned to her,
Her world has come to life again.
No more tears fall,
No more sighs heaved.
Her love has come back to her,
In the misty dawn

It reminds me of Pride and Prejudice. The new one with Kiera Knightly. It's really pretty, and I like the way you wrote it.

"Courage is being scared to death and saddling up anyway." - John Wayne

"I always wonder why birds stay in the same place when they can fly anywhere on the earth. Then I ask myself the same question." - Harun Yahya

Thank you. Actually I was thinking about that when I wrote this. Great movie.

"Borrowed, borrowed without permission. But with every intension of returning?" Jack Sparrow

It awoke with a shrill shreak that can be trnaslated "How dare you leave me in this bed, when I am asleep and helpless?" My sister

Very good, dear! I was seeing Pride and Prudjudice too, but with a couple different tweeks of my own imagination:)

Wow, you surprised me with this one. And you said you weren't a poem person. Good job, child. Good job.

"...And I'm Lukas, his evil spawn." my brother introducing himself, after my dad.

Your not good at poems...ha!
Brit your quote made me laugh SO hard...maybe it's because I know the evil person :) HAHAHAHAHA

Occasionally I am able to concoct something good, and call it a poem.
Yes, ha ha. Lovely quote. Makes me laugh.

Your concoction turned out very nicely. I was also picturing Pride and Pejudice. Very nice indeed.

"Here are the beauties which pierce like swords or burn like cold iron." C.S.Lewis

"It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God such men lived."
General George S. Patton

Thank you, and I am regretting saying that. So if would, block that out, I never said it.
Thanks for reading it.

Wow, Alecia, this is beautiful. And you say you aren't a poet???

It reminds me of P&P too. [Sorry if you're tired of people saying that, but I had to point it out. :D]

Job well done. :)

Thank you. You know, I never saw that you commented. P&P, that's fine. I really don't mind. It's what was being pictured when I wrote it, so it makes me feel like I accomplished what I set out to.

"Welcome to the land of little orange fruit." The Brit-some comment somewhere, welcoming someone.
