I love the feeling that comes when it's a cool, breezy evening and you go outside and you stand on the cold grass, in bare feet, and watch the sun go down…
Or when you walk across a beach after dark, and just listen to the water and watch the stars, in bare feet too…
Or when you walk through a the woods at midday, and feel the shade, and see how the sun makes splashes of gold on the worn dirt path—and for that to be ideal you have to be in bare feet again. (I think the bare-feet thing helps you to feel closer to it all, or something…)
Or when you climb to the top of a hill, and stand there with the grass swaying around your bare feet (smile) and look out over the land at the way the sun casts the clouds’ shadows over the green fields…
Or when you stand in the driveway and watch the rain start falling down, and listen to the sound it makes in the trees, and smell it’s wet and earthy scent, and lift up your face and feel it’s cold touch on your cheeks—and on your bare feet....

Impressive poem! I love being barefoot...as a matter of fact I'm barefoot right now! :')
