My Heart Was A Raisin

I can't really write songs
My thoughts get stuck
And the words go wrong
They say write from the soul
Let your heart sing it
Well, my heart was a raisin
And someone already ate it

Yes, I'm such a poet
Though they laugh when I say it
My heart was a raisin
And someone already ate it

I’m heartless, it’s true
Needless to say
If I ever get near
Someone shoves me away
I’m hated by many
Disliked by the rest
But I don’t need them
Because I am the best

Yes, I’m such a poet
Though they laugh when I say it
My heart was a raisin
And someone already ate it

It's been gone for a while
Should I replace it?
Twasn't tilll now
That I started to miss it
My heart was a raisin
That much is true
I think that next time
I'll try for two

Yes, I might be a poet
Though I laugh when I think it
My new heart's a craisin
And I'm just gonna fake it

That was delightful to read. :) I love the last verse. :) "And I'm just gonna fake it" haha so true! I can definitely relate. :)
