Mourn

Mourn for the beautiful
The ones who are aching
Their lonely hearts breaking
Weep for their glory
The days now long past
Which fly by so fast
They forgot how to love
Because love didn’t last
And they crumble forgotten
Proud faces of stone
Turning to dust
Standing alone
And their siren sounds
No longer echo around

Your poetry never ceases to amaze me. You have a way with words, dear! You should totally apply to become a monthly writer, and when you do, be sure to tell James that I suggested it. ;)

This is so powerful and I just fell in love with it! I've seen a lot of your other poetry but this one's my favorite! The words resonated in me and I soaked it all up to really feel it, and the rhythm is just as solemn as the emotion. <3<3 Love it.
