The Lost Souls

We're transparent, glassy-eyed,
Empty, lonesome beings
The two of us, far from found,
Turn away from our beginnings

Somewhere, somehow, along the way
The two of us got lost between
Society's dark, unfair walls
And the lines someone forgot to read

I spread my arms, you followed suit
Lying on backs, glaring towards sun
No longer cloaked in our disguises
Our lies, slowly, falling to none

So I vanished of the face of the universe, only to return with a lovely poem for y'all! (At least I think it's lovely?) In any case, enjoy!

I'm glad you've you've come back down to earth :) And yes! I enjoyed this! The mood of it was really nice, and the last two lines were good. As was the first.
