Fairy Lights

Blindfold me, carry me home
There's nowhere else for me to go
I will give up in the coming days
On all of my past ways

Branch out, live on a dream
Is this just what it seems?
Or am I just an illusion
Feelings are just confusion

Make me laugh for a moment
For a moment I am yours
And I'll watch your back
Forevermore

The sunlight shines bright on another day
Don't let the darkness get in my way
Just brush of the nightmares and the stains
I'll try to forget all of my pain

It started as a simple study break
Now I can't wipe this grin off of my face
So many people, arms open wide
Who are we gonna meet this time?

Though gold will rust with time
I'm no less yours; you're no less mine
And though we all feel jaded
We don't need to stay faded

Don't worry, my love
I will remain here
Through laughter and tears
Forget all of our fears

I've got my bags packed,
Machine set for the future
But in the meantime,
I'll look out for you here

This is one of my favourite poetry pieces on all of AP. This is so lovely; it almost made me cry. How do you write like this? You should be a monthly writer. I love this. Job very well done.

Goodbye? Oh no, please. Can’t we just go back to page one and start all over again?” – Winnie The Pooh
